Took a trip out to Native dog creek yesturday about 20 ks west of oberon found a nice spot with heaps of rock bars weather not so good but still found some peices

Went to Native Dog Creek and the pine plantation a few times in the early 1960's. Found some nice sapphires but never looked for gold.

Hey good stuff! also have found some nice sapphires there, but now kicking myself for not running the material off my screens into a sluice. Seems to be alot of undisturbed layers around Native Dog. The miners back in the day seemed to be spasmotic, in there search.

well native dog is back on my list...crossed it off after an unsuccesful trip out to find it last time....ended up on native dog fire trail.....it led to a creek but i dont think it was the right area lol i have a GPS now so it looks as though ill head out that way when my foot heals up
