I just got a phone call from my son who is a computer technician and is in he's own business. He was just telling me he got a call from a chap from overseas saying he is from Microsoft and that he is on line to fix my sons computer as they have had reports that there is something was wrong with it and all he had to do was follow their prompts to get it up and running on line properly. He told this guy to f*** off and that he himself was a computer tech. and that there is nothing wrong with he's computer. But the guy insisted that he is from Microsoft and that this is a legit call and that there is something wrong. My son has informed me that Microsoft do not ring anyone or try and fix your computer on line, and if anyone gets this type of call tell them to F***off. This is a new way scammers are getting into your computers.

Yep I got one of those calls a couple of months back. So did my son. I said to the very Indian sounding person "What makes you think I have a F**kn computer"? The reply was.........."But you must, everyone has got one" I then told him he had called the Federal Police office in Sydney and he hung up ...I wonder why?? ;D ;D

Yep, someone rang my So in Law pretending to be Microsoft a few weeks ago. He strung them along for a bit until they wanted remote access to his computer and Neil asked them if they thought he was that stupid and hung up on them.
