Im tossing out the Android as soon as the contract ends[soon]. Gotta get me one of those 'rotten' Apple thingys Diggerdude ..silly question [ you never know until you ask] When using iPhone/iPad does it make a difference how many GB[?] the unit is for these programs to work cleanly ?? Now i can plan my WA trip a bit better. Thank you Chris

Not a silly question at all Chris, most of these are a minimum 16GB , I have used about 14GB of that space on prospecting data, so if you want to use it for something else aswell, you may need more space, I only use mine for prospecting so 16GB is enough for me. GISRoam needs a lot of processing power to be able to display all this info, it will work on a iPhone 3gS but is slow and glitchy, a iPhone 4 has a faster processor and works well, as does the ipad2. I have tried a couple of android phones and couldn't find a way to get it working.

OK for those with android try this resources.arcgis.com/en/home/ GISROAM for android has been found just doing a check for safety (viruses etc) and will add if it works.

I have had the ArcGIS app for a while, I couldn't get it to work properly with all the layers. Hopefully it works better for you. GISRoam and MemoryMap were the best I found out of this bunch. Diggerdude
