This is the gold I've been getting (minus the nugget - that came from the one eye area) from the creek that runs through my property. Majority of it is from one crevice. The rest I got from underneath a large rock. I just finished building 2 sluice boxes and will be testing them out this afternoon. If anyone would like to join me in the hunt for gold in said creek, drop me a line. Attachments:

What are the creeks like up there? Much flow? Deep? I have family out that way, thought it was more detector country though.

f4j, at the moment the creek is quite low.. there is just enough flow to run a sluice. The grass leading down to the creek is very long.. I'll be making a decent track with the whipper snipper later on today.
Thanks Chris! It is great to be getting gold right here. Been travelling in the past for no reason. All that fine gold came from about a 20 litre bucket of dirt. Been wanting to get down there more often but lack motivation and don't really have anyone to help me out if I get into trouble. I'd hate to wind up injured and have no one around to help me! As I said, if anyone at all wants to come and have a crack at getting gold, you're more than welcome.. whatever you find, you keep. Can't get a vehicle down to the creek though so, you'd have to be willing to carry things to and from the creek.. it's about 100-150mtrs away from my house. Also, cant supply anyone with food but can supply water,a bbq and some space in a nice cold fridge if needed.

I'd be keen to catch up. Spare time on weekends are at a premium this time of the year but was hoping to get out this weekend. How much notice do you need? I don't usually make a decision till I can be "reasonably" sure what the weather is doing and triple check the mrs hasn't got me booked in.
Cheers Adam

it is Franma its in the triangle i believe so a day in Tuz's creek and a day on a detector in the locality might be a go........ its only an hour or two from Ballarat i rekon Tuz. might have to consider your offer and get the hb out for the weekend if thats kewl if thats wheat you got from 1 20 litre bucket imagine what a HB that can process in excess of 2-3 tonnes in a day? Thanks Chris. Sounds good, hunting the yellow. I don't need much notice, Adam. I went down there yesterday for about 5 or so hours with a member from here (qazfun). We had a pretty good day.. both got a little bit of gold. Wasn't much but, I was only panning and qazfun was using a mini highbanker. I'm struggling to get my sluice working the way I want it to. Going to try to get right throughout the week. What sort of gear do you have, Adam? If you have a 4x4, you'll be able to drive down to the creek. If not, it's not a fun walk with lots of gear (it's not far but the hill is horrible to walk up and down).

I'd like to join you. I live in Bendigo, so not that far from you. Where did qazfun get the mini highbanker from?

Thanks again Tuz for the invite, I had a great day! Guys I have only been doing this prospecting thing for a few months but what I have learnt in that time tells me that Tuz's Creek is a real ripper. Oh I wish I had a full sized HB, there is just sooo much good looking stuff I could have processed! What am I saying?? No, I had a horrible day! Nothing to see here folks, move along! LOL Tuz, I will be back soon
