Well done Stinkypete, first quse and all, and thanks to Roudy again for generosly running the comp, Stinkypete when you said about deviding it up I started to do the maths on the 1.0 kg nugget, to work out our share, going back to the first post to check, I now see it was 0.1g, It pays to read the instructions. Rather that you chopping off the tip of your finger trying to devide it, best you keep it whole and when we get to go panning with you, you can show us your prise. Cheers to you and all that played Lab

Thanks lab, i am heading off to Heathcote tomorrow with the f1a4 and detect a bit of virgin ground i founds some months ago, it has reefs around the ridge lines, a couple of hundred metres down hill are the gullies with old timer diggings, so i pretty much have thrree sides of hill to detect, then small coil over the diggings, i expect it to take a few months of weekends to detect, should keep me busy and mind off the rat race, i have not turned computer on yet mate, maybe tonight, i,ll emaail you when i check it out. Cheers pal Lenny

Hi, nice devils dice: my guess is that they are haematite pseudomorphs (originally pyrite crystals) and as for where... ...being on the Apple Isle, I'd say NOT from Tassie: looks like arid country: I'll take a punt and say Cloncurry cheers, Drystone

Dang It!: should have looked at the other 3 pages of this thread to realise the comp was over before I started! Siiighh.... must be time for bed thanks for the competition though: fun to get one's mind ticking over (even if some MAY be slower than others) Drystone
