Hi Phillip.
I have prospected both the Thougla and Wabba creeks wayyyy back when dedging was legal in Vic. Found some nice coarse gold in both. I don't know Sandy creek but have had some good success in Stony creek just upstream from it's junction with the Cudgewa creek. Haven't been prospecting there since the early 90's and don't know any of the land owners anymore. Knock on their doors and ask, they used to be all very nice people.
Good luck up that way, it's a nice part of the country.
Jeff

Hi Phillip.
Pretty much right from the junction. I have got gold to about 2 k's up stream, never tried any further up than that. I am assuming that you are from the Albury area. A bit closer to you would be Granya (Cottontree creek, and a couple of other smaller creeks, can't remember the names, between Granya and Bethanga) although a lot of that area is now part of a state park.
Good luck and good golding.
Jeff
