Driving home the other day I just thought I was tired as the car was all over the road but when I stopped I realised that it was the wind.
Walked out the back and a fully laden nectrine tree was snapped off about 18" above the base and another 30foot tree was leaning at a 45 deg angle and hung up in another tree which also is now leaning a bit. The roof of the car port was flapping madly and I tied that down with a bit of telecom rope as a tempory repair until I can replace the roof. I don't want to tempt fate but I don't think much more can go wrong with what's remaining of 2014. Rowdy

Nothing like some big winds to make a big mess of things. Last big storm we saw here I thought my back shed was going to fly away, but just ended up bent in way it was not ment to bend. Hope you get it all sorted and hopefully 2015 will be a bit more forgiving.

Glad you didn't have too much damage done Rowdy. We had several wind gusts through town here at close to 70kph on Tuesday which bought down some trees but no major building damage. My place survived ok.

Late this afternoon I managed to drop the tree that was hung up, had to remove the clothes line so it wouldn't damage it when it fell, but there is still part of the upper branches of it up in the other tree. I'll have to have a bit of a think on how to get it down. In the mean time just maybe nature will do it for me. Rowdy
