My dog Shivan passed away this morning. Feel like my best friend has just died. He was very old and had not even been able to walk around the block for the last few months due to hip problems, but he always kept me company, especially with my UNI study recently. RIP buddy

Shivan, I fell for you loss, dogs do make the best people, and friends, I haven't replaced my last dog, quiet some years ago now, because of the pain of the loss. He was so clever and almost spoke human. Hope where good Doggies go, has plenty of rabbits and the odd cat to chase, soft ground to dig and lots of those giant meaty bones. Labrador.

So sorry to hear about your loss Ian. The heartbreak of losing him after such a long time will fade, but your memories of him will remain with you for the rest of your days. R.I.P. Shivan.

Thanks all. Though i have had a few dogs, he was the first i have had from a puppy. Lots of good times to remember. Hard thing is my daughter asked if she could get a puppy.... Will have to give it a month or two and think about it.

Hay Ian, Sorry to hear about Shivan mate. They become part of the family and it hurts when they have to leave us but we all have to go there one day I suppose. How's the rest of the family taking it?

G'day all, thanks for the kind words. The rest of the family took it ok, shivan was just a bit to big for the kids to play with and a bit old when the kids came along so I do not think there was a lot of attachment, my daughter has already given me a list of pets she would like next. From ant farms to mice and puppies to kittens.
