Ever get that feeling the creek is like "hey here is your stone now P*%^off!" That is what every 10minutes followed in chat after the first 5 shovel full of gravels. On saturday we went to well known Powelltown for smokies, citrine, amethest, tourmaline and topaz just so happened the best stone for the day was in the first five shovels weighing in at 279.6ct in a flawless fashion with a deep goldern yellow Citrine. We found alot of facet grade clear topaz and smokies and a bit of tourmaline, but nothing that topped as big and as impressive as the mornings find. Hope you enjoy my find, and if anyone wants to go for a fossik oneday in the area let me know always up for a dig one my days off when I get them.

Very nice find, at least if you find it early in the day you don't have to stress about not finding anything Now the question, to cut or not to cut?

I enjoyed seeing your find, if you do cut it, what would you be planing to cut it in to ? It is also a good reminder to in my hast to find gold, that keeping a eye out for other gems would be worth while. It has been so long that I have taken any interest in gems, I don't know if I saw one, would reckonise them, Thanks for putting it up.

Hey guys, Not 100% sure what I am to do. I know cutting can incredibly increase its value or have the complete oppisite. This is my third outing purly for gems the creek doesn't bare gold but has pyrite like you would not believe and tin ore.
So the grand question still remains "to cut or not to cut?" that is the question.
Flying Scott I have PM you couple of questions on your equipment
