They are black / blue perfect square like piece of shattered car windscreen glass I don't know what they are got them high 15-20 meters from creek between rocks haven't cleaned my mat will do it tomorrow I have a draw between the two after grizzly bars catches all my fines slides out around 1 minute to flush the draw slide it back in away I go again I only clean the mate when I'm home the draw does a great job I'm lucky to find 1 or 2 specs In the mat the dra catches 99% of the gold So I can process a lot of dirt will take a pick tomorrow send it to you

if you have existing sapphire do the scratch test, but they almost never come perfect square, I know the Abercrobie has gems. As for your HB sounds good(interesting)

So what's the scratch test new to me only claimed my new hobby/ addiction 3 months a go Ok then you don't have a spare sapphire, www.gemselect.com/gem-info/gem-hardness-info.phpsapphire can't scratch another sapphire, so if you would have one you could scratch the specimen, but if glass than anything with the hardness of 6.5 and above should scratchit

addicted to rock it sounds like you have collected ironstone the place is full of it, bloody stuff is a nuisance when you pan. it ranges in colour from blue black and purple. never seen any sapphire at tuena but I'm hoping to stop off around grabben to bag a few will have to checkout crookwell tourist info center for the directions on my way through. 5 buckets of cons is a lot but I have to remind myself that the gold hog mats would reduce that to about 2 cupfulls, oh the days of dragging buckets home are gone for me now. Joe ya gotta cut them mats for them to work or make a 36 inch wide highbanker , when ya cut them make sure you use a new blade in the stanley knife and take your time the ur is easy but the scrubber is harder with the big rifle section. If ya like I can give you a hand next time I'm down there. Cheers Skip

Skip I would choose option [2] 36” wide . ;D If you want direction for grabbie let me know. Not ideal now as the water is high – still raining (same principal as gold around large boulders) got some aluminum brazing rods and torch if the weather does not improve I’ll be extending the bottom sluice for goldhog (1m) where is that sharp knife?

Ok Skip, will send you PM, Went to Tuena today met up with ChrisM and George Hooked they are, Chris got a good machine, still needs minor/cosmetic touch but will serve him well. Water/current was very high.. got some color George is already thinking $retirement but needs a "dozer bucket" instead of shovel.
