As most of you may have read my post about the Eldorado Caravan Park is closing down at the end of June this year. The Alluvial Gold Prospecting forum has spent many a time up there in the early days. So this Easter we are planning to have a get together again at the Caravan Park for a few days over the Easter period to "Thank" Dough & his wife Joy for all the enjoyable times we had up there, and for what they have done for us in the past.
This invitation is open to everyone on the forum, not just for those that had stayed at the park with the forum members many years back. It will give everyone a chance to meet fellow forum members as well and find a bit of gold at the same time.
If you are planning on coming "You Have To Book NOW as Dough was saying Easter is a big time of year for them.

It's a pity it's closing. I was hoping to one day make the trip from NSW to do a week's fossicking in the area. Still, I might be able to pop down for Easter.

What a shame it has to close, it was such a nice site. Put me as tentative until I hear back about accommodation. Will be nice to catch up to AGP members and give our support.

Great guys. We are starting to get a bit of momentum going. But we need more members to consitter about coming up to make this a success and a great Easter get together. And remember, there is nice GOLD to be had at Eldorado. So how about a few more jumping on board and join us. You wont regret it. Easter this year is in April, 14th. till the 18th.

It's about a 6 hour drive one-way for me from Sydney, I'll revisit this once it gets closer. Not sure where I'll be by then, but sounds fun and like something I'd enjoy. Hope you get more interested.

Thanks JR I hope you can make it. We did have a lot of NSW guys coming down and some from SA every year for the get together. This was a few years ago. So it would be nice if we can get a few to do that again this year for the every last time at the park. We use to end up with about 50 + there some years. It is a great place to stay.

I'm hoping to make it. As long as my health stays as it is tonight & my Cardiologist doesn't suddenly decide my Aortic valve replacement Op needs to happen in the next 3 months, I'll be there.
please,please,please don't let that silly valve get worse in the next few months.......

Just got a reply all on site accommodation is booked out for Easter. I enquired about units and on site caravans. Looks like will have to tent it...

I have been hoping to make it down that way for so long. I will try my hardest, but funds are tight so cant set anything in stone at the moment.

Guys and Gals I will be needing numbers very soon about who will be coming, otherwise the Park will be booked out and we will miss out. So far we only have may be's, and only 3 definites. I know that Easter this year is in March but we still have to book. So come on everyone get your thinking caps on and make up your mind, coming or not coming.
