Hi , I'm going to built a small agitator high-banker that's hand bucket operated through a drop bush shower . But I need to know the best shape for the drop riffles ---- Square shape I__I sorry best I can do Or " UOr " VLooking for the one that will retain gold yet still let the lighter material out quickly so as not to clog up the riffle . Also is 15 Degree slope OK ? If I've got it all wrong from the start just let me know thanks Cheers Bobby

Hi Bobby, I'm working on a project still in design phase for a new high banker that will use expanded mesh and nomad matting only on top of v-groove rubber mat, as the other one I built which is only one tier and a grizzly sunk into the trough its good for busting clays but the riffles I have in it down near the end are not working the way I would have liked.I plan on using two different sizes of mesh just a thought you may be able to use. if you want pics look in the thread "building highbanker".

G'day I use a combination of V and square U riffles. Curved U shape may not create an efficient low pressure area. I use 3 V riffles first to catch bigger bits then 2 deep U riffles, then 8 shallower U riffles. This combo manages to catch very fine gold. Hope this helps
Cheers

Thank you Chimpy , Have been reading that for over an hour now , super dooper info like the line below --- the ‘Lazy-L’ riffle design is almost perfect for a part-time operator who needs to recover nuggets as well as very fine gold . Cheers Bobby.
