What a good job for the kids who just hang down the streets and do nothing all day they could help clean up and maybe feel good about them selfs knowing that they helped with the bush land .?

Hey there Kenny, I've just got back from a couple of days in the playground, and looked in the shaft with the dumped 20 litre toxic waste containers . I'm arranging a couple of mates of mine to do a clean up, which will mean I will be abseiling down their and using a block and tackle to pull them out. I will be wearing safety gear of course, and when I'm finished I might call the dse to let them know they were dumped by the track so they can remove it. Cheers Steve What sort of Toxic Waste are we talking about Steve? BTW anyone can edit their own posts to change words or spelling at any time on this forum. Ric

Gday Ric, I won't find out until I get down there but I'm going to be really cautious about the operation. If its dangerouse goods I am confident I can deal with it as I work with chemicals on a daily basis. ie: hydrochloric acid and some other concoctions. Only best safe work practices will be employed. I will investigate the contents and the integrity of the containers 1st and then apply the necessary actions in regards to wether they need to be bagged and sealed before removal. We will see what we can do we we get down there. Cheers Steve

Hey there Chris t, That's a great idea but you first need to remove all the paint pressure pack cans from their hands. There is a huge graffiti problem here in Ballarat and I'm pretty sure I would end up multi coloured. Cheers Steve.

Gday Lenny, It seems that every time I go to the play ground some more rubbish is dumped and holes are left unfilled. I just got back this morning from camping there and there's been a lot of activity recently. I must say that most prospectors are doing the right thing but the few that are morons are leaving some massive holes. I did laugh at one of them though, They dug a hole about 2ft x 2ft wide by 2 and a half foot deep only to find some 1940s corrugated tin. LOL. That'll teach them. Cheers Steve
