Brrrrrr that's all I have to say. 3 Degrees, that was the max. Who's idea was it to go to Grabben Gullen today. Met up with a couple of fellow nut cases today out at GG. Never took the seives or pans out of the trucks but did manage to have a good chat and wandered up the creek and found a few pieces, could be sapphire or spinel. The cold got to us all and we left fairly early in the arvo. Never mind it was a great 3/4 day outing anyway. Do it again guys, when it's at least 6 degrees. Great to catch up. See you again soon. Jeff

Was great to catch up again. Extremely sorry we picked today of all days though. Was surprised we managed to spec a sapphire even if it was just one, what surprised me even more was i did not drop it on the way back to the car. Considering my fingers were numb just from getting out of the car i think it was a good day not to do any panning.

that's what i call dedication fellows, i take it you didn't get my msg about the cold weather in time Ian. I had to cut some wood on Sunday as the missus keeps the fire on 24x7 - I'm surprised you gents lasted 3/4 of a day out in the freezing windy (horizontal rain)cold day like that. Wait for the warmer months i say. Best of luck - Joe

Got your msg Joe, but school holidays coming up and UNI starts back today, so i needed some time out before i am stuck at home studying again. Was good to get out and catch up with Jeff, but i felt very bad dragging him out on a day like that.

That's a nice stone, Ian. I wouldn't mind a vial full of pretty colours like you posted, Joe.
