Good morning/afternoon Australia, So the weekend is almost upon us once again, and what a week its have been. So sad to hear about the Lockhart property, west of Wagga Wagga, on Tuesday afternoon. shouldn't take it out on the children though.. so sad. its a problem with most farmers have to struggling with day to day basic. They are not the only one though. Anyway, I do hope you all have a great weekend though. Cheers Steve

Yes, so sad.
Now, what am I doing on the weekend? Let's see. Saturday morning I'll be around at the Community Garden in town until about 11am. After lunch & most probably into Sunday, re-building the front end on the car. This is going to take me some time to do. Struts & coils, radius rod bushes, lower control arm bushes, sway bar links, tie rod ends, all being renewed.

Andy, is that because you treat your car like a 4x4 raised, lol Maybe yes & no mate. Not real sure but could be.
Drivers side strut is just sagged with age & should have been done ages ago. Radius rod, control arm & sway bar rubbers have worn out from age also, but I got the full sway bar kit (links & rubbers) cheaper than just the rubbers. As for the tie rod ends, you wouldn't want to see the drivers side one. Let's just say it's a little flogged out, yet the passenger side one is ok.

Hi Steve, and others there, I know now the weekend has come and over, what I would have been doing, I fitted in a little fishing, One perch just over legal size, I was on the way home from working, and hungry, so bad luck for the fish and catch and release. Steve I am wondering if you have looked at the Mt Crawford forest. and if it was sluicing friendly. You being a SA resident. I went to Mt Ogiveigle near Mt Lindhurest, found a few specks, not much water there, like not a drop. I was thinking of trying that Watts gully one day, when I am over that way. Good luck with your dectoring Jamie

Hi Jamie, I done Mt Crawford years ago, and found bits and pieces, totally worth it though. I was thinking doing that area again in coming up warmer month. Mount Crawford Forest Reserve — Gumeracha Goldfield Gold was discovered at Watts Gully in 1884 (Fig. 6), followed by smaller nearby discoveries in Sailors, Speck, Dead Horse, and Blood and Thunder Gullies. Opal, garnet, beryl, kyanite, tourmaline and other gems have been located in the reserve. Fossicking is permitted but a permit must be obtained from Mount Crawford Forest Headquarters (ph. 8524 6004). Hope that help? cheers Steve

I'm staying home - AGAIN. Beginning to wonder what gold prospecting is. Been such a long time since I've been out. There's all this equipment cluttering up my shed, no idea what it is, sort of looks like it could have something to do with mining, might have to take it to the tip, clear a bit of space. NOT #@*! LIKELY. One day, I'll get my motor fixed and then see how much time I'm at home. Mrs can't wait, she wishes I was out in the bush every day. Have a great weekend all. Jeff
