Its already 31.2 deg at my place and forcast to reach 41 deg or more. The shed is already too bloody hot to work in and the garage is getting that way...............Looks like a day indoors with the air con If anyone is out in this type of heat today please take care. Stay in the shade and drink plenty of water or electrolyte drinks. Just checked Oallen's weather......Already 31 deg and Rel Humidity 24%. Anyone out in that is mad Oallen Weather RSS 35.14°S 149.96°E 571m AMSL Nerriga Forecast Today 36°C Tonight 15°C Mostly sunny Now 31.9°C rising Relative Humidity 24% Remember the colour of your pee, its a good indicator of dehydration: Pale or clear is good - keep drinking water, yellow/greeny yellow is not so good - drink more water, Dark yellow or yellow/Brown is danger!!! Get into the shade and drink water or electrolyte and if you start to feel off or the breeze feels really cool....Get to a doctor. Heat Stroke is a bugga and can hit without warning. I suffered it a couple of times when working inside roof spaces. You sit at the manhole and the breeze feels like air conditioning...Basically that is telling you your cooking from the inside Big trouble and recovery took a couple of days each time.

Yes a good day to go for a swim or hide in the A/C. Had heat stroke recently whilst helping a mate lay a cement retaining wall, took 2 days to recover and just started with a headache.

Good advice Ric. Too B hot to be digging.
Spent the morning preparing the HB for next weekend, decided to stop when it got to 31, that was about 10.00 this morning. Rest of the day sitting in the AC at 21. Much better idea.

I think the way the weather is heating up this early in the summer months we are going to have one real bad fire season. Even in Vic the temperature is sky rocketing and the bush is tender dry. When you walk on the ground, you can hear the grass and undergrowth crunching under your feet. "God help us this year." nugget893

Agree with nugget. It's forecast to be a long hot summer in our part of Vic this season. Worst part of it is the firebugs are already out & about, which is the last thing we need. Just this month we had 3 fires in town, all deliberately lit. One in scrub behind the BP servo, one in someone's back yard when they were away for a few days, & more worrying, one near the river about 135 metres away from the backs of houses in that part of town.
