I was working next to some old tailing's piled up on a small island, I saw that the inlet of a channel to the side hadn't been worked so I shoveled in there and found gold right away....I worked about 1 meter width and 2 shovel heads down and may be heading back to the same spot and work a lot longer width and depth to see what comes out.....lots of clay and as we know it is a Gold Trap.

I have a correction as I was lazy and referred to CB when I meant Golddiggerart in my post, but the rest and Shivan's comment I stick by, and if you only panned, that is a very good result.

Nice results and a beautiful spot . It is beautiful and probably one of the cleanest creeks I have been to....when I go out I take no rubbish with me only a 2 Litre bottle of Water and 2 Litre Orange Juice which stays in my Nap Sack and then comes home with me. Reading up on the area I found a lot of forum posts 2008 - 2012 which stated Locals hate prospecting but you know what, I have a Miners right and it is on Public/Crown land so I will keep going there whether they choose to engage in a war of words with me or not. I respect the land and do what I can to clean it up when I go out. We could learn from Andy's Video of when he took up the 10,000 challenge, he has my respect.
