Hey guys
i went out and bought a minelab go find 60 a while ago. It's a beginners detector but I still need advice on how to use it. Has any one had any experience with this detector? and also where abouts at nundle is the best place to go detecting? I plan on going up in the next month sometime
thanks

Don't know much about the detector myself, but there is a website with a review and a few videos on the go find range. md-hunter.com/minelab-go-find-20-40-60-new-2015/Have not made it to Nundle myself yet, but if you do a search there is a fair bit of info floating around.

I don't have a 60 but trial n error is the best way to learn. Bury some coins in your yard and practice pinpointing and identifying targets with both ID numbers and the way they sound both whilst swinging over them and pinpointing them. Another valuable toy that will help you big time is a Pinpointer, this will save you time in both finding targets as well as being able to dig smaller holes if you need to dig at all. Meaning if it's on the surface just under grass you won't need a hole therefore keeping grounds looking like you weren't even there. This keeps everyone happy, council's groundskeepers and landowners. I too am yet to venture to Nundle but it's on my to do list.
Hope you find the vids n info and happy hunting. Cheers TD.

Hey
Just an update.
I have tried using this detector with no luck with finding anything yet. Either I'm not looking in the right places, which is highly likely, or it's not that great.
Do you have any suggestions on where to go gold panning/ detecting around Bathurst?

I'm somewhat new to detecting myself, but from what I've learn, it all depends on what you plan to detect. If you're going for gold, you'll need a better detector and coil. I use the Minelab Xterra-705 Gold Pack myself. It detects gold, but you have to go really low and really slow from what I'm told. Have yet to find any gold with it. I looked your detector up and it looks neat, but I think it's more for Beaches and Parks. Something you'll run into out in the bush is mineralized ground, which will give off false signal to make you think you found something, but just end up being what are called "hot rocks". But if you have pans, plenty of alluvial gold out there around Bathurst.

good machine, can give lots of false signals from what I heard though. its no good as a gold detector though, beaches and parks are your best bet!!
