Hey everyone
Just wondering, other than Nundle, where is a good spot to pan and detecting?
I've heard near Bathurst is an alright area

I have had some reasonable luck at Uralla panning. The public fossicking area is a good spot to look, but be prepared to do a bit of walking to find good gold. Also zircons and sapphire to be found around as well

Thanks shivan.
Any chance you know any one in nundle that I maybe able to get in contact with to go on their land and do some detecting?

Panning can be done 360 degrees of Bathrust. It's central to a lot of good spots. Turon River to the north, Sunny Corner to the east, Ophir to the northwest (Although personally I haven't found gold at this site yet), Native Dog Creek to the south, and Oberon to the southeast. All places you can pan, some require a NSW Miner's Right Permit for State Park areas.
As for detecting I hear a lot of good things at Hill End, North of Bathurst.
