Been looking at buying a new metal detector , whites ssp, gold master, or the gmt , it will be focused on only finding gold, any recommendations on these or any other detectors on the 1200 mark would be appreciated , cheers

I believe the GMT is a decent machine and can detect reasonably fine gold in a specimen. Not sure how deep they punch or how well they handle hot ground though.

My brother Inlaw found a old revolver in the dabyminga creek in Broadford during the drought , pretty sure dates back to the bushranger days he says, but it's a rusted mess, your musket is in amazing condition for its age

Anyways what's the better detector ? From what I've read the gold master picks up small gold nugs, but doesn't go too deep and is vlf machine, and the mxi pro oz edition is a pi detector, that obviously goes a bit deeper but doesn't pick up those sub gram nugs
