Thinking about buying a minlab 4500 , anyone use these machines in the forum ??

Mate I have a 5000 which is the next model up. The 4500 is a great machine and some times can out do the 5000. Are you buying one new or second hand. New ones right now are going for about $3,300 to $3,500. Be careful if you are buying second hand or on E-bay. A lot of scammers about, specially in regards with detectors. nugget893

Yes both the 4500 and 5000 4500 has 4 main setting where the 5000 has 8 4500 can handle large and small coils very well where the 5000 is deadly with a small coil but tends to have a balance problem with large coils cheers

Yes I would only buy one from a autherized dealer (miners den) from what I have read the 4500 re-release has a few more feature it's a bit more powerful then the 1st 4500 and aparently runs a bit smoother , I also read on mine lab web site that a shipment of re-released 4500 went missing off the docks , 1.6 million worth , and will prob be floating around the black market , so wouldn't buy from ebay just for the fact that could unknowingly get done for reviving stollen goods charges.
