The controversial QED has been released , read a bit about it , watched a few youbtube vids of it , seems to go deep and pick up fairly small gold also , I'm wondering if anyone has purchased this new aussie made pulse induction detector ? And if so is it as good as all the hype??

GoldSearch is selling them @ $1570.00 I think that's a very good price compared to Minelab and maybe they will compete and drive down the Minelab prices

Saw a few people who brought them when they were released, but have not heard much independent feedback yet, will have to try and do a bit of poking round.

It is not a machine for newbies to try and use. Every time you change coils you have to reset the machine to suit that coil. A lot of dial turning and adjusting to get it right. But in saying that I have seen some very good gold coming out using the QED. I'm waiting to see what the new Minelab Monster 1000 that will be out on the 8 May, will be like on our highly minerlized ground here in Australia. It comes in less than the QED price. At about $1099 with two coils and is a VLF machine specially designed for gold. But made for the overseas market, Africa. nugget893
