I was looking on ebay and there seems to be dozens of different pinpointers listed. Some are quite cheap compared to the name brand ones and I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the cheap ones and were they happy with or disappointed in their performance? Also did they experience any interference with their detector and what model detector were you using? Rowdy

Cant help there mate, i have a falcon MD-200. I have used it for pinpointing, but i use it more to look for fine gold in rock. As a pinpointer it works, but there would be better dedicated units out there, i do not remember having a problem with interference, but was only using an extreme. On finding fine gold in rock it works really well, though it wont punch too deep in solid rock.

Sorry Peter like Ian I can't help you as well, I've been a Minelab person for more years than I can remember and with that said the only thing that's not Minelab is my pinpointer, it's getting long in the tooth now and it's a Garrett's (carrot), there water proof and do there job out in the bush. cheers Harry
