Hey guys.
Some of you know that my Aortic valve is not working correctly. The time has come where it needs to be replaced. So I'm having the operation to do that this coming Thursday at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne. Will probably be in there for about 8 days. After being released from the Hospital, I'll be staying at a friends place in town for about another week.
The friend I'll be staying with has joined the forum so he can come in at the end of the week & tell you how I am straight after the Op.

Good Luck Mate. The Austin Hospital is a top notch hospital as my wife was there a few years ago getting 2 spinal operations done. You are in good hands Andy.

This is annoying. Due to a couple of unexpected events my operation was cancelled, & I was sent home. Bendigo Patient Transport (Ambo) picked me up mid afternoon, picked up another 2 blokes from different hospitals & took us to Bendigo. The 2nd bloke was dropped off at St John of God in Golden Square, Bendigo, where I had to change ambos to be brought home. Got home about 8.30pm.
New appointment for my operation is 31st of this month.

Mate that happened to me at the Monash Hospital in Melb. All prepted up for a hernia opp. and on the trolley to go in. And then "Stop" haven't got time to do you today we'll have to re-scheduled you for a couple of more weeks down the track. And then sent home.

No Harry, still no surgery yet. Was cancelled twice last Thursday, first in the morning, then it was rescheduled for Friday morning but that was cancelled after an hour also.
