Gday This is my sluice I have built in recent days. I intend to use around the Vic goldfields, if I can find some creeks that are running. I have it hooked up to a 2inch pump going through 1 1/2 inch hose no riffles just carpet and 3/4 inch mesh on top with wedges to hold it all together. I thought I would try something different with the hopper the angle is adjustable to either slow down the washing of the dirt depending on the type of soil - clay etc or if Im shovelling gravel then I can increase the angle so it is washed and moved on through quicker. I hope to test in the next few weeks When I work out how to post pictures I will put the picture into another post Cheers Mick

G'day Mick, Good to see you getting into it. There is something very satisfying about designing and building your own stuff, and I think prospectors are among the most inventive folk I have come across ;D
Don't forget to register with our yahoo pages (details in the members only boards) which is where all our pdf files , maps and lots of photos of equipment in use are stored.
There is a lot of technical files there to keep you reading for months.
Cheers Ric.

howdy mickd, good pic, have you used this sleuce before? it looks as though you need to move your grizzly below your spreybar or it will be very dificult to wash your dirt. youll find some pictures of what i mean in the DIY section on building Banjos.
Cheers Dean
