If the taliban have fought this hard for poppies, how hard will they fight now. at least its minerals, not drugs. john

No it was the other way round, when the Taliban was in power,the opium trade was down, now the US and NATO are in and it wen up. Hennes

Dad has been deployed over there alost and he says the markets are full of lappis lazuri and gold bullieons as low as $300 an ounce and many large sapphires however its very hit and miss if you buy 6 sapphires 5 of them could be fake but one might be worth 300% more than what you payed for all 6. i have heared that theve raiesd the price of gold in them markets now tho.
