hello, my name is kimmy and i am a gold addict my interests are sluicing, panning, history, detecting and designing better ways of catching gold in my sluice. i don't find huge amounts of gold, but i do just love being out in the fresh air and having a go. All holidays and time off are spent camping with my family and looking for gold, my 10yo boy is also very keen on digging for gold and always has a high banker set up next to mine. i have an sd2200v2 that i really need to learn how to use properly before i can even hope to find anything with. i'm looking forward to chatting to others with the same interests happy digging, kimmy

Hi Kimmy, Welcome to the forum, What area are you from? Don't be backward in asking any questions about anything to do with finding gold as I'm sure someone on the forum will be able to help you.
We also have people who do a lot of detecting that may be able to give you a few pointers with your 2200v2. Rowdy

Welcome Aboard Kimmy. Good to see another women interested in gold (other than in the shop window ). There're a mad bunch of loonies in here, but very knowledgeable and the group trips are fun family events, get to one if you can, you will have a ball. Cheers Mrs Fly

Thanks for the warm welcome Rowdy and Mrs Fly,
I live in the Blue Mountains, which is convenient to the Bathurst gold fields and the Oberon area and only 2 1/2 hrs from my favorite stomping ground, the Shoalhaven River and her tributaries. I am looking forward to getting out there as the weather warms up again. (I should be swinging my Minelab in this cool temperature).
"a mad bunch of loonies" excellent, i will fit right in! : )) i am at my happiest when I am looking for gold, it's funny I love finding the yellow stuff, adore looking at my finds but I don't really wear jewelry and am not that besotted by the shops that sell it either (maybe it's knowing that my gold is the real deal compared to theirs).
Well, again many thanks for the welcome and I am really looking forward to having a better look at the site and getting to know a few of you.
Happy digging, Kimmmy
