Lotsa spuds, jackets on cut in half. Insert piece of bacon, slice of onion, slice of garlic, cheese or butter or oil. Pepper. Slice of tomato if you get excited. (put in whatever takes your fancy or is in the van- dehydrated peas even.. not too many though- will get dry!) Wrap in foil. Recommend 3 layers of foil for a fire (seems to be a recognised standard!) Roll around in fire a few times during corse of cooking (the potatoes that is - best to keep at edges in coals- not too hot. Ready in around 45 minutes or so. If its not cooked- put it back in! If its burnt give it to someone else (noodles)! you can test spuds with a sharp knife or skewer if you get excited. Leg of lamb works in foil too!

Will have to try that next time, instead of just plan old jacket potatoes with only butter.
