Hi all, I'm basically retired ( lol only 32, worked hard to finish early ). Spend most days prospecting when weather permits. Unfortunatley the missus only comes out part time and hates leaches mossies etc. So would be interested in checking out a few spots with a like minded bush trekker . I have a reasonable amount of gear , using my 4500 most times, have just bought a garrett infinium waterproof and keene sluice\dredge. I do have a habit of trying to get to impossibly difficult places. Let me know if anyone is interested.

As soon as i get my 4500 or the new 5000 i would love to tag along and see what trouble we could get ourselves into, im also retired (31) and ex army so treking the bush is almost second nature, also trained medic just incase ;D i dont have much knowledge with the detector so would be hoping to be shown the ropes....i am a quick learner though and research things thouroughly ...willing to travel as im currently in the blue mountains NSW but Sofala/Hill End is only 2.5hrs away if your also willing to travel...also have a wife who tags along with me sometimes but she can also be left at home if its something a bit more adventurous let me if it interests you and ill PM you when i have the detector in tow....i have sluice etc currently so if your up for some sluicing im all for it

G'day Glenn, I've done a fair bit of prospecting from bermagui to batemans with some surprising results. I am heading to WA for a six month stint next week, I will PM you my email, drop me a mail if you want to join us. I will be catching up with carms and a few others while there, feel free to come have a beer with us. ;D. Ooh that's right meant to be prospecting aren't we ;D ;D

I'm up in Nimmitabel.. but can travel. Have a bit of gear myself but need to prospect a few areas before dragging the gear along for no return. I have an x-ray tester for testing metals and veins/shows etc. I grew up near Nowra and spent a lot of time around Yalwal (without much return except the fun factor).
Be happy to make a trip sometime, and the cold doesn't put me off.

Gday Diggerdude,
I have relos and a few mates that way. heading there for chrissy for a month. I love a good mission and my gear is all backpackable (hb etc). Spent a fair bit of time in the bush there and have stumbled on some interesting sites over the years. I know a couple of mad keen detectorists around there but I'm not interested in detectors.
If your interested, I'll let you know when I'm heading out bush. One spot I want to suss out is 4x4 only.
Cheers,
kel
