Hi all from a link from another thread, takes you to this page interesting idea, very simple, how do you reckon it would go here ? V-groove indicator riffles allow you to see the values right away. larger drop riffles allow for higher production and higher volumes of water without washing away the gold. "Our Sluice Designs require no Miners Moss, Carpet, Expanded Metal or Ribbed Mat ... Nor do we use Hungarian Riffles! www.casluicebox.com/SLUICE-BOXES.html

Hmmm Might be OK, possibly because of the shear number of traps.
Both sides of each drop are rounded so I can't see how there would be much of a low pressure area created. It looks to just rely on gravity traps and I could see loss of gold as they fill up with heavy gravels and black sands. Again seems to rely on the large number of traps further along.
Certainly worth the cost if one wanted to try it out with our dollar where it is at the moment. I notice the small version which has 6 traps is only USD $24.95
Cheers Ric

hi mate i picked one up 6 weeks ago and converted it into a finishing sluice. using a 12 volt bilge pump and some ply sides, works great the deep riffles have been catching all the fine gold.I would certainly invest in one.
