After waiting for parts to arrive, several trips to the hardware store and a frantic night in the shed, my DIY off-the -shelf-parts Highbanker is ready ;D I cut 2 more sets of snap-on rear legs so I have a choice of 1",1.5" and 2" per foot fall (bottom sluice 3'6"). Both trays lift out for clean-up, the whole thing folds flat and weighs bugger all. I gave it a test run using the ensuite spa while Mrs Chimpy was at work and it seems fine. Now to get it in the field. Cheers Chimpy Attachments:

It looks great mate and I hope it runs well and finds plenty of colour. But if it doesn't work up to your expectations at least it will feel relaxed after testing it the Spa. ;D ;D ;D

Both trays were from casluice.com I got them to sell me the trays with just the mesh for $75 USD each and used shipito.com for $145 freight (every other quote was $3-400). The rest is off the shelf from Bunnings. I put a lot of thought into it as I don't have any powertools and didn't want to blow my budget buying them. I used only a tape measure, hacksaw, file, dremmel knock-off, Mrs Chimpy's good kitchen knife, screwdriver and spanner. The spaybar and frame was about $110 all up. If it gets the yella stuff I will be wrapped. Looking at it now and thinking of heading to Oallen Ford in the morning with the tape and hacksaw in case of alterations Cheers Chimpy

Shot down to Oallen Ford yesterday arvo for a test and an overnighter. Picked a random spot and after a few tweaks of the spray bar, started shovelling (I drilled all the holes freehand and they all spray slightly to the left but perfectly uniform lol). I put about 10 shovels through each time and cleaned out 3 time before I lost the light. I had to head off by midday so just went hard the next morning and will go through at home. The pic below is the panned off results. I could see plenty of small specs through it so I guess it works. The V-riffles caught nothing fine as expected but the drop-riffles collected all the black sand towards their rear with a fine layer of sandover it.I will put up some pics and vid tomorrrow. How does one post more than 1 pic? Cheers Chimpy Attachments:

A short bit of action footage. I had the 4yo apprentice doing the filming so I appologise in advance if my bum offends I caught myself panning the crud off a plate last night while doing the dishes so might have to get out in the field again this week. Cheers Chimpy
