I hardly ever eat baked beans at home but allmost every camping trip the cans of beans come out I just pop the lid throw it on the coles and let it simmer for a few moments, season with a few bits of ash and coals from the fire (when unlucky), give it a stir and eat straight from the can ( be careful though that can is hot )

When I’m in a bush and have tin of bake beans warming it up is all I need. But you could always try this. 1 can of baked beans 1/2 small onion, chopped 1 slice bacon, cut in small pieces 1/2 tablespoon catsup 1/2 tablespoon mustard Add the beans to a pot and stir in the catsup and mustard, begin heating. Meanwhile, brown the bacon and onion in a frying pan, drain the grease, and then add to the beans. Heat through and serve over toast.

Just remember to at least crack an air hole in the lid of the can before putting it in the fire lol I have seen canned spaghetti burn holes through army hootchies when the can goes pop lol

When in the Opal Fields of QLD I would put the snags into the hot artesian springs for 20 minutes, come out piping hot. An old Scottish farmer I once knew always carried a hip flask of whisky and a muslin cloth with oat meal. He would tall me he would never die of starvation. Flying Scott
