hi all just thought id introduce myself my names pete and i grew up in warrandyte vic, i spent alot time as a kid panning in and around to rivers and creeks, and holidays at tanagulla and walhalla looking for gold, now im almost 40 and living in narooma nsw and keen to get back into it after holding the 2 nuggets my little brother detected in the pilbara i an now currently building a sluice (which is how i found this site) so hopefully ill get to meet a few of you out in the field once im up and running. cheers pete

G'day pete and welcome to the forum. Lots of great freindly people here and lots of info as well. We do most of out prospecting on the south coast so hopefully we will catch up one day

thanks everyone and your right kel it is gods country, hoping its golds country too ;D ;D ;D . ive been studying alot about the tilba and narooma gold rush. keen to get my highbanker finished so i can get out there.

Welcome Pete, your spot on about gods country, I spend heaps of time at narooma. Lots of gold still around there too. I produce some maps for that area, that are a bit hard to get hold of as I stopped printing them. My mate Bob at Bobs bait and tackle at Dalmeny was stocking them, he might have some left, if not let me know. The camping shop at narooma had them too but I think they closed.

Welcome aboard Pete, I'm not far from Walhalla(<1hr) but so far haven't prospected there yet. I'm hoping to soon though.
As the other's have said, plenty of help & advice here. Good bunch of people.

I just had a look at goanna gold detectors online store and it says they still have some of my maps in stock. goannagold.cart.net.au/store/maps/They have narooma and nerrigundah. DD
