Hi PeterPanner here. Frequent area from Gulgong down to the Turon whenever I can. Also visit Oallen ford and Braidwood area from time to time, though the gold there seems finer and harder to get any quantity unless highly mechanised.
Member of Prospectors Home Club based in Parramatta where we meet 1st Tuesday each month.
I usually use my river sluice or when golding with a friend, we use a two tiered sluice with water pump. This usually entails crevacing and shovelling tones of red dirt. Have a Minelab Eureka Gold that has found more ring pulls than I can carry (or so it seems). It is able to detect tiny slivers of rusted wire the size of 1/4 of a pin but so far no gold.
