Hi all is there any good advise out there for a rock tumbler? I need one to clean up coins that I have been digging up off the beach as well as the minister for war and finance would like to polish pretty rocks form the trips away gold digging. Have been looking at the lortone 33B twin barrel tumbler one for me and one for her comes in a starter kit for around $250. Any help or thoughts greatly appreciated. Cheers Skip

G'day Skip, i use a lortone tumbler but just the single barrel. Very sturdy, well compared to the cheepo i had first. I think they are a great starting tumbler.

Thanks hunting the yellow placed an order see how long it takes. I've already got enough coins to to clean up to half pay for it ;D from a few trips to the beach with the detector so it will pay for itself in no time at all and then have it for rock polishing. Cheers Skip

Hey Skip, Years ago people would use one of those old Pope washing machines to do that. Shivan is now an expert and Master. Grits and things. Depends upon the stone. donny

Tumbled some coins in aquarium gravel and dish washing liquid and after an hour they looked good but I then tumbled them for another hour and they were perfect. Cheers Skip
