Hello everyone, Im Peter. Not new to prospecting but I have been almost exclusively treasure detecting for a few years now and pretty much dropped chasing gold altogether. Well I recently moved to NE Tassy and it seems Ive landed in the middle of some excellent creeks and rivers for fine gold. So I have broken out the pans and even bought a bazooka sluice. Ive spent th last couple of weekends test panning at a few locations and Ive yet to find somewhere I think is worth working, but Im closing in and hopefully I will locate a good spot towards xmas so I can work it over the holidays. Looking forward to getting to know you all and learning some stuff. One thing I have remembered about gold the last few weeks is everytime I think I understand gold prospecting I go out and get reminded how little I know.

G'day pete, welcome. The art of prospecting is something no one will master in a life time. Every time you go in the field, every time you meet another prospector you learn something new. Mick

Ahh tassie. New to the site. Theres a starters carton due then. Or you could just tell us the exact spot you find gold so 5000 friendly diggers can rock up to your patch for a beer and a dig. Just jokes. Im newish to. Good site for advice.
