Hey mate. I'm new to the prospecting game too. I have done a bit of panning with my dad when I was a kid but trying to get into the detector side of things. I have a few pans as well and the Missus likes going out with me once and a while. Next time I'm going up that way I will let you know. Might not be able to show you much more than you probably know but it's always good to have some company. Greg

Hi bigcods thanks for the invite would like to come just wondering what type prospecting would ppl do down there as I'm new to this and only got Pans Hi stev87 Pans are OK to get started and if you concentrate on what is called 'Crevicing' which is scraping out the cracks and crevices in the rocks and bars along the creek. Add a 1/4" or maybe next size down sieve and some scraping tools to your kit and your in business. Scraping tools can be made from fencing wire bent and hammered flat or use old screwdivers, basically anything that you can use to scrape the fine gravel out of these cracks. A stiff brush such as a Grout cleaning brush is also very handy for crevicing. Tuena has lots of good spots for crevicing. Cheers Ric.

Yeah I've heard reports the river is flooding. So might try building a high banker.
