G'Day grayghost and welcome to the forum. Nice area down around the Bay I've been going down to Broulee since before I was born (1950's). Will probably retire down there as my parents and a few other relos have There are quite a few good Alluvial goldfields North, South and West of the Bay. Just a bit rugged that's all. Mogo is a bit hard due to access and also scum that break into your vehicle while your away. Mogo's also become a bit 'Trendy' nowadays and with that has come an increase in those who have tripped and fallen into the tin of Green paint There are still good spots to work up around Currowan, Braidwood and the Shoalhaven,Araluan, Majors Creek and then down south around Nerrigundah and Narooma. Do some keyword searches on the DIGS Database on the Dept of Primary Industries (now called NSW Trade & Investment or some such thing )website www.resourcesandenergy.nsw.gov.au/There is a userguide which I recommend downloading. You will find heaps of info on the south coast alluvial fields. Also plenty of old posts going back many years on this site with good information and don't forget to join our Yahoo page which has more information which we do not have the abilty to store or display on this site. Please enjoy and don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. Cheers Ric
