G'day every one
I have a few days off next week or two and was thinking of waving the detector over some ground around the Whipsticks, I have never looked around the area before so I am expecting to enjoy the history of the area, as well as hopefully find some gold. While I am up there I may also wash a pan or 2 or even see if my sluice can remember how to capture any colour.
My question is there any place to pan in the area. I am not looking for a specific location just a generalised area.
Thanks in advance
Chris.

Hey mate, not hundred percent sure how you went but I always went up Campaspe River, on the right of Englishs Rd just out side of Goornong. Got good color in that spot nothing ever big though. Might be better off with a high-banker as it doesn't flow to fast for most sections. Panning will give you a few good specks to take home.

Hey mate, I have added Hungarian riffles but not relying on the riffles. I have also added raised expanded metal under the riffles, to make the matting more active and for better exchanging of materials. I also like a little bit of water to be able to flow underneath the riffles there is a fine line as to how big the gap is to rid of any air that might get trapped in the vortex behind the riffle. fixed up the holes in the first couple riffles as doctored these ones off a old sluice.
