G'day everyone. My real name is Kim. I have been interested in detecting and prospecting for the last 20 years. I have owned a couple of small detectors including a $20 Dick Smith one, that was very good on beaches. These days I use a Garret Deep Seeker, but I am more interested in the new ATX detectors. My Dad was employed in the Gold Mining industry and pegged the first claim for the Telfer Gold Mine on the 23rd of May 1974.
I am an electrician and my background is Air Force and government corporations although I was self employed as well. I'm also an active member of the SES here in Perth.
Looking forward to many deep and meaningful talks on gold and its finding.

Welcome to the forum Kim. Good to see someone still using an older machine. A friend of mine from South Aust had a Garrett Deep seeker quite a number of years ago & did reasonably well with it. I think a couple of members have the ATX so if you want to know about them, post a message on the Detector board & I'm sure they will be happy to answer any questions you have.
