Motivation Required, anyone up for a south coast expedition?

Hi All,

Its been nearly 18 months now since the shovel and I connected.

Alternate factors in this hiatus are as follows: relationship breakdown, purchasing my first house (in that order thankfully!) obligations to spend as much time as possible with my 3yo daughter, working 6 days a week, and being very sore the remaining day.

Its gotten that bad I'm still buying GG&T magazine religiously but cant muster the energy to even open the cover.

Regardless to all this I am at a point now that I can't ignore the call of the wild any longer.

Is anyone in the South Coast Region (Batemans Bay South to Narooma) keen on an outing one sunday? I am fearfully expecting a dismal result as most of my old spots have been invaded by like minded individuals which is disheartening to say the least...

Im thinking anywhere from Punkally in the South to Mogo in the north

Hi Unlucky.

If you can wait a few more weeks until I get my truck back you are more than welcome to join in for a dig at Oallen on the Shoalhaven. Just like you, I haven't dirtied my shovel much over the last 12 months, but for much different reasons , blew the motor and it's still in the repair shop.

I'll send you a message when it's ready to head out and see if you need anything.

For sure Jeff,

Went out last sunday but little result from 30 buckets. Old spot I had pretty much worked out so wasn't expecting much but would've been nice to get a bit more.

Any word if Oallen is still producing? Downstream from the bridge was getting hammered by every man and his dog last time I was out there.

We have had a little poke around from Batemans to Nerragundah, but have not had a great deal of luck as of yet, though have found a few promising looking spots.
Would love to pop out for a dig if you blokes are headed to Oallen but will depend where iam at with UNI
