Hi Simon. 2.1g for a couple of hours is great. I'd stick with that area There are plenty of places around Delegate, Craigie and good patches all the way up the Snowy to Jindabyne. Great area for a fossicker to be living, I am in Canberra and usually only get a day at a time to get out, makes Delegate a short days digging. Good luck and plenty of gold. Jeff

Nice one Simon, that's a good weigh-in . I'd be setting up camp lol. Looking forward to seeing some pictures. I am off to the Little Snowy tomorrow - don't have much experience with this area but hopefully some of your gold flowed down from the Big Snowy

hi anne ive got private property on the little snowy with dykes and old mines up in the hill just out of eskdale so i hope you find heaps let us know how you get on cheers G'day Phillip, I tried Diggers Creek earlier and had no luck - maybe because its 'Diggers' Ck and I'm not big on digging much. Headed up to Lightening Ck and got colour there but pretty spread out. A lot of natural slate bars and that's mostly the problem. So many to choose from. Turned around and came back down along the Snowy to the Granite country and the gold got smaller, even looking around the old hydraulic sluicing areas. The granite is fine grained so the tin was like graphite powder. Sorry no photos worth posting but I took video. Still an enjoyable day out and a good learning experience in different topography.
