Made it out to the Turon yesterday Coles bridge with the missus. Water is down low and my hole that I usually attack was completely raped and left open. Funny how they found it cos I back filled it last time so had to choose another spot not as productive. Only took the pans but was still finding on average 6 colours to a pan. Usually crevice but decided not as its a little further to walk. Really need to find a spot out of the common areas. All up a fun day spent relaxing beside the creek.

Shame about your spot but in reality this is to be expected Have you tried up near Turon Gate there are heaps of rock bars but I can't remember how long it will take to get there oh and there's trout in the river when you get hungry

Any day out is a good day out. Not good to hear your spot had been dug out though. At least you managed to find a bit of colour still

There are rock bars near the crossing to the camping area and above the camping area there's lots of stone and sand build up on the west bank leading into a point out into the river but It's been 25 years since I was there so thing would have changed
