Well I've been out panning in gippsland recently and two trips have netted good results, went out 1 April by myself and met a couple of blokes banking and just panning. Helped out a bloke who is recently retired by giving him a spare pan and one of my sniffer bottles which had 3 pickers and a couple of little flakes in it. Admiring his home made hand sucker pump - like a yabbie pump only better, I asked him if he could make me one and I'd pay him for it, he said look if you're here in 2 hours when I leave I will give you it as fair trade for the pan and sniffer bottle with gold so I said okay mate no worries. Moved a huge amount of large rocks you could say some were boulders because of the weight of them I'd hazard to guess around 45 - 50 kilos which isn't to heavy but it was the size and awkwardness of them that was the trouble. Anyway he was true to his word and dropped the pump off to me, I had very little luck with only a few good sized flakes and started sucking out the bedrock cracks and crevices straight into the bucket with sieve on top, after several fill ups with pump I decided to clean out the sieve and looked down and saw the most beautiful sight my first NUGGET..... UN-fricking believable. Will be heading back to move more rocks and do some more pumping more of the bedrock. Until next time good golding everyone.

Thanks Jeff and yes shivan a very nice loud clunk, it's funny because it feels heavier than 0.5 grams but the scales don't lie lol. Will be getting good use of this.

Awesome find Arthur. Gotta love that mountain gold. Harder to find but very rewarding in size when you do. Good luck for many more to come.
