Went to Gippsland for a day with one of my sons Jacob aged 12, we had a good day and processed 4 buckets of material ran it through the sluice. One thing interesting I found about the creek I am working is that the more Glass that came out of the gravels the better the Gold. Will be doing a lot more digging in same area, moved a lot of rocks again which was a good workout for me.

Yeah Chris always good to get the kiddies out of the house, my daughter usually comes but she said her and Jacob will just bug one another so she decided to stay home this time around.

Looks like a good little spot that will keep you going for quite a while. Hopefully you got the majority of the big rocks out of the way and can now reap some nice little rattlers in the wash dirt. I don't know what the theory behind the glass = gold is. I find the same situation myself. I put it down to an indicator that no-one has dug there and hasn't cleaned it out of gold - otherwise they would of put the glass elsewhere for safety? Either that or some old fossicker got too drunk, dropped his bottle and his cache of gold.

I put it down to the glass being rather heavy and dropping out of the flow with the gold. If that is the case I'll know I am onto a good thing every time glass shows up. This spot will keep me going for the next 12 months, that is unless someone happens to go in and hammer the place.

Hi Arthur, I hope you get the oz your looking for, to make it worth while shifting them big rocks. I thought we were getting spoiled with Mushmouse's video's and her under water shots, hands free driving footage etc. Now the bonus of your adventures, I must add Jacob is not a bad camera man, we could be in the running to see you, find that big nugget, caught on Video or dropping a rock on your toe, all good and enjoying watching, thanks for sharing. I cant offer any thing on the glass theory, but if it is smooth and no sharp edges, it possibly be there for a long time.

Great to hear the young one is showing some interest. Cant wait till my son is a bit older, my daughter seems to prefer the rocks to gold Nice to see your hard work is being paid off, but even still it looks like a wonderful place to spend some time Thanks again for sharing your adventures.

Yeah labrador some of the glass bottoms are as old as me I can tell by the bubbles in them and the thickness, they've been in there a long time.
