Went out scrub today but I was soon home again. The mozzies are terrifying at the moment with all the wet weather we have had. I've never seen so many and their size is huge. Does anyone know of a good repellent as the tropical strength spray I was using was useless. Rowdy

Aerogard is the best I have used and never fails....They don't get within 3 to 4 feet of it.

a mix of kerosene and milk, spread the milk over your exposed skin then a small quantity of Kero. the milk acts a a barrier from the Kero.

Yep - this stuff is really good. ( has Deet in it so wont need much - this stuff has a kick) Its a squeezable tube. Comes with UV protectant in it too now. Its gel like so I put a bit along the rim of my hat and it keeps the flies away from the face for a good distance.

The first thing you have to do with Bush mans cream is you must put a small amount on your skin first to see if there isn't any reaction to the cream this is a must I did and found out I couldn't use it cheers Harry

I was actually using tropical strength Aeroguard and found it didn't work at all and also the Bushman's causes skin irritation on me. What you need to be careful of on some of these repellents is they can damage things like plastic prescription glasses, hearings aids, sunglasses etc. Rowdy

Rowdy try this:- Big bottle of Blue cheap mouth wash, 3 cups of Epsom salts, 3 stale 12oz cheap beer. Mixed together until Epson salts dissolved. Spray anywhere you sit. Will not harm plants or flowers. Spray a small amount on your cloths before heading out detecting. Mozzies gone. nugget893
