Here at the Mean Average water levels at the 1st of each month for Reedy 2016. Full month of December is not available as yet but you can see it got some decent height last year. The highest Maximum recorded was on 4th October at 2.27 meters. Not quite the record of the 1st March 2012 when it peaked at 2.91 meters. A good flush but certainly taking its time dropping down this summer...

Hi aussiedigga,
I get my reports by using the following steps written on at AGP post
alluvialgprospectors.proboards.com/thread/7156/depi-water-levels-past-reports
The Reedy reports are always way behind. The data is not put online daily like major rivers do unfortunately. The data levels for December are still not available. I choose the Ovens Basin > Reedy @ Woolshed report. The creek is getting fairly low and slow now - I'd reckon between 0.35 and 0.45. Not sure if the ranges got any rain today but shouldn't of had much of an impact on the levels...

Ah thank you so kindly mushhouse , I live in Broadford , got a few prospecting areas around here but nothing quite like reedy creek although our area is quite nuggety , with patches of flour gold , I have been sluicing around a bedrock drop off (small waterfall) right next to where a old mine battery used to be, I did a lot of research into the local area, only downfall is there is sometimes a bit of murcury attached to some of the nuggets, do u live up around beach worth ?? A bit of intel on creek levels is great , saves a 2 hour drive to check

No worries. Not a bad area up your way for gold especially in the SE direction from Broadford. Nice country. I am half hour from Beechworth so out there a couple times a week. No need to worry about wasting a trip up. The creek doesn't dry out and the floods are over so it will be workable right up until the colder weather pulls you up.
