I know about this company that make them. There made by Sluicy Gold Equipment at Benalla. They make a whole range of sluice and High Bankers. All top quality stuff. Sell their equipment all over the world now. Been in the game for quite a while. The business is run and owned by a your couple in their 30's. Kylie Walker and her Husband. Some of you that may have come to the Laanecoorie Gold Bash last year would have seen them with a full range of their gear. nugget893

I haven't had the chance to check them out in the shop but sounds like they are a good solid unit. Well done guys - Aussie disposals have a good turnover.

Bought myself one of the smaller $99 sluices yesterday and gave it a run in Yackandandah creek today with some good results. There will be some modifications done to improve it some, mainly the addition of adjustable legs for easier set up. Took me a while to set it up (never had a river sluice before) and bit of trial and error before getting it to what I thought was right. I classified the material with a 10mm screen (only one I have until the new ones arrive) into a bucket of about 15 litres and not wanting to overload the sluice with a shovel, I used a hand scoop / trowel to feed it through the sluice. Was a bit worried I was wasting my time as I wasn't overly confident with how I'd set it up, so after about an hour or so of feeding material through it I thought I'd give it a clean up and see if I managed to catch any. I think the pics confirm my setup was fine. First pic is when I first upturned the sluice into the buckets, I could see colour straight away just sitting on the riffles. Second is the result after clean up.

Don't you just love it when you can see gold in your sluice before you start the cleanup. Rowdy

Nice one Daz. Thanks for sharing your experience and good to see that gold. Legs will be handy and not to hard to fab something up to your liking.

Pretty good buy for $100 I'd say. Wouldn't get much change out of $100 if had to buy all the bits and pieces to make it yourself.
Will fab up some legs over next couple weeks and see how that goes.
