2019 turned out to be my worst tally of gold for over 25 years. I sure hope this year is a big improvement. Rowdy

Trouble is Flying Scott that I've sold all my seeds. I'll know better next time. Rowdy

What's the go there Rowdy? Spots getting harder to find? not rejuvenating from less flow? or other diggers getting in there?

Spots are getting harder to find and as I get longer in the tooth I don't seem to be able to put in a full day or venture so deep into gold territory from the car as I used to. Rowdy

Sometimes a hobby needs a bit of a change to prevent it going stale.
Rowdy, maybe you might benefit by adjusting your expectations and reasons for hunting gold and gems. Perhaps widen the scope of the search to include more common minerals like quartz crystals and do something with them, like jewellery etc.
Just do what you need to do to enjoy it.

Rowdy I've been back to very well known flogged areas around town, and so far this year I have picked up 3 nuggets. All of them well over a gram each. Nothing under. Biggest 6.3 gr. So mate there still out there. But a lot more dirt between the gold though. nugget893

Hang in there Rowdy. Maybe last year was just a hick up, so to speak. None of us are getting any younger I'm afraid. You have the advantage over a lot of people by having 25 years of experience. Have a think about the places you went to years ago that had easy access and hit them with the new technology. I'm sure that you have places that you thought you should have gone back to and re detect but never did. You never know......life's funny like that. I still visit some old sites (then I had a SD2200d) that I go back to detect, just because it's easy going and you never know. I can't help myself, I just love being out there..... All the best. Russ
